'Tis The Season

Christmas 2010 has come and gone and I am worn out! We were out and about a lot this season and I have never done it before with a little one. Let's just say it takes longer and is much harder! Oh, but it's worth it. Christmas Eve we had family over and Cody made a ton of food! It was delicious.

On Christmas Day we went to my mom and dad's house and ate dinner and opened gifts. Jaxon, of course, was spoiled by grandma and grandpa! He got bath tub toys, a few other toys, The Baby Einstein Jumparoo and a Baby Einstein video. He got Sophie (which he loves)! Let's just say he made out well, that little stinker!

He did so well for being off of his routine. I was actually quite surprised. And with him teething I was very worried he might be a fuss bucket the whole time. But much to my amazement, he did great! He had blue pj's for Christmas Eve and red pj's for Christmas Day. He was adorable, of course!

This Christmas taught me a few things. It's not about the presents and spending a lot of money, it's about having the "Christmas Spirit" inside of you. Of course my amazing husband brought this up to me and I love it. It's to be happy with the moment, not to worry, and just have fun. Once I got in that frame of mind I was pretty darn happy!

I know Jaxon won't remember this Christmas. He has many more to come though! Both Cody and I, after having eight Christmases just alone together, thought it was such a weird feeling knowing that we are no longer alone. We have someone to spend Christmas with, make new memories and traditions with. How exciting!
