"I hate the rain," I stated to my husband the other day, "It ruins everything and we can't get outdoors!" My husband simply looked at me and smiled and said, "We need the rain."
Rain. It helps the grass to grow and turns it to the deep shade of dark green. It allows for flowers to bloom and show their beauty. Rain. It comes down heavily and washes away the dirt. It nourishes seeds to grow and turn into food. Rain. It smells heavenly. It makes it's own simple noise. Rain. It creates puddles to jump in .. An atmosphere to dance in. It makes a rainbow appear .. So brilliant and bright in color. Rain. It brings out the worms and the mud to play in. It cleanses the earth.
You see .. We do need the rain. Take the time to run outside and play in it. Take the time to cuddle and snuggle. Take the time to rest for the day. Take the time to listen to the pitter, patter and the children's laughter. Take the time to thank God for providing it.
